New Things: Books, Movies and Stuff Animals (What did you expect?)

So recently I had some extra spending money burning a hole in my pocket, and a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble. So I am going to share some of the new things I got because I know how much you all love that!!

First thing I got was the whole Paradise Kiss Manga set!! I always wanted to buy it but I never wanted to spend all that money trying to get all of them. But because I had some extra money I splurged a little! I loved reading them and I am so glad that I have gotten them!

Okay and here we have some movies! From Left to Right we have: Persepolis, Pans Labyrinth, and Sex and the City Season 1! I got Sex and the City just recently but because it was on sale for like $10.80 and I couldn't pass it up. The other two I accidentally got when I was trying to find Paris Je T'aime.

Last but not least is a new Naruto and the first manga for Attack on Titan! I've heard such great things about the latter so I decided to go ahead and try it out and was not disapointed!

This time around I got some movies, and just manga's and no new books, and thats okay because I haven't splurged on mangas in a long long time.

I hope to hear from you guys and until next time!

Some New Things: Books and Movies

So when I went out the other day I didn't really plan on buying anything, but we did go to a bookstore so naturally I was going to leave with something! I ended up leaving with a lot more than what I had planed on getting.

I love books, which means leaving a bookstore with one book is a bit odd for me. However I am on a tight budget and must watch my spending. Well after hearing John Green, writer of The Fault in our Stars and Looking for Alaska, rant and rave about this book I figured I would get it. It seems like a real interesting and promising book, and I couldn't wait to read it. It is Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. I look forward to reviewing it for you guys!

The next things I got where some movies! I was really excited because they were having a sale on the movies! Not only that but I found a couple of good finds if I do say so myself!

I have been looking for this movie everywhere for about two years, and I could only find it on the internet. No stores carried it, that I saw. I was always on the look out, searching every time we went to a place that sold DVD's. So imagine my surprise when I went to buy The Secret World of Arrietty I find the one movie I have been looking for, for about two years, The Nightmare Before Christmas! I was so excited I almost trampled over my family and friends that were there.

The next movie I only saw the end of it and really liked it surprisingly. You see this whole horror movie thing I am into, well I kinda just got into it. For like 18 years of my life I was never really a fan of it. And just these last four years ago I really got into thriller movies. So this movie to me was scary, too scary for me to watch. And I actually really enjoyed it, when I caught the end of it, and can't wait to see it from begging to end! To finally enjoy this classic movie, The Shinning.

The last thing I got isn't really all that hard to find. However it is a huge inspiration to me, not just in fashion but in my day to day life activities as well. It is just a movie I really enjoy to watch and relax too. Not to mention some of the most excellent songs! What can I say? I just really love Beatlejuice.

So that was what I got the other day! I am really happy with my purchases and will enjoy them greatly. Did you get anything new lately? Anything creepy and crawly? I hope you guys enjoy the week! See you soon.

Details Details

Does it ever feel like you are doing too much at once? Yeah that's how I feel right about now. I am watching Are You Afraid of the Dark? and The Dark Night at the same time. It is really weird.

So lets talk some more about our details, or mine to be more precise.

In fashion terms I am into lolita, and if you know anything about lolita than you know there is sub-styles. And if you didn't, now you do. My favorite types are gothic, bittersweet, and punk... but I am in to everything, and wear whatever I feel like. Than for 'normal clothes' or what I call muggle clothes, I like black clothes and am obsessed with platform shoes! I am really digging the 90's feel and alternative fashions are the best inspirations!

Speaking of alternative fashion, you might see some street snaps on here! Where I live there isn't really any "cool" people, which is sad. But when ever I go into Denver or Aurora I am always inspired by the people I see! There are some awesome people out there. There are some fantastic outfits I have seen but never had the courage to ask for the picture! Oh, well. Now I actually have a reason.

I enjoy reading so much, you usually don't find me with out a book in my face. You might see some reviews and quotes on here. Especially some of my favorite books that I want to share with you. The books I am reading right now are Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Complete Sherlock Holmes: Volume 1 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, Killer's Kiss by R.L. Stine; just to name a few.

Killer's Kiss

I just did my header today as well! I did it all on this website. I have now been fixing all my pictures/playing around with them. It has been so much fun! I am fixing all my lolita pictures with my black dresses because the detail gets all lost! It makes me upset to say the least.

Re Done Photo

See the difference? I think it is real good fun! And who doesn't do this type of thing now in days? I see it all the time and am always awed with the results. Now I can do my own! It is AWESOME!

One of my favorite things to do when I am 1)not reading and 2)on the internet, is I watch movies. A lot of movies. My current thing is watching classic horror movies, or old horror movies. Some of my favorites so far, out of the 50 I am going to watch, are Carnival of Souls directed by Herk Harvey (1962), and Nightmare Castle directed by Mario Caiano (1965).

The last couple of movies I just watched for the first time that I enjoyed were, Chronicle directed by Josh Trank (2012), The Avengers directed by Joss Whedon (2012), and Donnie Darko directed by Richard Kelly (2001). All really good movies if I do say so myself.

See you guys around soon! Hope you enjoyed getting to know the smaller details about me, and what you might see on here.
